I love how Ms. Valmont includes the other family members throughout her storylines and can't help but be a little envious of their closeness. Cheri Valmont writes of a strong dominant male and although her female character is a submissive, she is clearly an independent and strong willed person. This was a well-built plot of a man finding his woman and willing to do whatever was necessary to protect her and keep her safe. When Lightning Strikes has wonderful characters that you empathize with, her secondary characters were brilliant, and I would love to see some of them get their own story. Lucas has some yummy brothers.

In both stories the sci-fi aspects are great, but it is the stories and their heat that draws you into their worlds. To be taken into such divergent worlds in two stories has me clamoring for more. The characters take you away, making you heat up on a cold wintry day! Make sure you have your glass of ice water to cool off as you read word after titillating word by Cheri Valmont and Michelle Marquis as they take you to worlds designed to make readers sit up and take notice. Enticed by two great stories, encourages me to go look for more books by these writing gurus; their prose nabbed me from beginning to end.

Teaser is just the right word to describe these two stories from the Torrid line that tantalized my senses with just the right amount of plot forged into a quick taste of erotic pleasure...Sex Machine made me want my own personal android that I could use at my leisure. This is one hot book. The scene where Jubal handcuffs Lizabeth and makes her his sex slave is incredibly arousing. Daniel was a poor sexual mate for Lizabeth and could never satisfy her. He wasn’t aggressive enough. It took a real man to bring her to a shattering orgasm. Jubal was strong and dominating; when he realized that Lizabeth wanted to be handcuffed and dominated, he knew he’d found the perfect mate for him. Lizabeth seems like a spoiled brat at the beginning of this book but Jubal soon tames her. Jubal is strong, sexy and delicious. The plot is interesting. From the moment Jubal and Lizabeth met, I knew they loved each other and were meant to be together. I could hardly wait to turn the pages to see what would happen next. I highly recommend this book.

Ms. Valmont has written a beautiful story with Cajun Fire. I read it within a few hours. I found myself grinning and laughing, angry and jealous. These are just a few of the emotions I felt while reading this intriguing tale. The sex is written tastefully with such intensity, one cannot help craving some sex of their own. I particularly enjoyed Jubal, who in my opinions is a true hero. He fought for what he wanted, loving and accepting Lizabeth, and kicking ass for her. This book is also written with a little BDSM which makes the love scenes all the more exciting. I recommend buying this book for your torrid shelf.
